Meru Valley golfers are happy to be back again in the swing of game

Meru Valley golfers are happy to be back again in the swing of game with social distancing after many days of being away from the greens. Here’s what our members have been saying:

Ng Keh Jun said: “I have missed golfing a lot since the lockdown. When I got to know I can play in Meru, the first thing that came to my mind was what time should I play. The front desk team who were managing the bookings were excellent in assisting my booking. The club has done a good job in social distancing policies, with temperature checks for us golfers to stay safe.”

Golfing Member, Joshua Lim said: “As a golfer I miss my weekend golfing very much. I was extremely excited when I got the news that Meru is open for play and it’s for members! I am impressed with green upkeep and the social distancing policies which have been implemented by the club. It’s great to be back on the greens!”

Former Meru Valley Resort’s club champion, Jack Chew said: “I miss Meru golf course, definitely. It’s been a routine to play an 18-hole with my golf buddies. After the game we use to have a nice meal at The Dome. I am happy that we can now play again.”

All around the course there are signs that remind golfers to remain 1meter from each other. Tee times are spaced between 14 minutes to allow for more separation between group and individual. To avoid the touching of common surfaces, rakes have been removed from bunkers and golfers have to hole-out with flagsticks remaining in the cup.

Golf Operations Manager, Leong Mei Yee, said: “I love the fact that golfers are out in the fresh air playing again. We are currently open to members only and are adhering to stringent social distancing and hygiene measures to keep everyone safe.”
