CLUB FACILITIES OPERATIONS UPDATE

In view of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, the Malaysian Government has reinstated a
The Movement Control Order (MCO) has been reinstated in Perak, from 22 January to – 4 February, to further manage the outbreak in the community which means all leisure and sport related activities will be suspended and the following facilities will be closed:

  1. Compulsory body temperature screening for everyone. Anyone with the following symptoms must refrain from entering the premise and will be refused entry
  • – Temperatures above 37.5 C
  • – Sore throat with dry cough
  • – Any other symptoms of Covid-19
  1. It is compulsory to complete ‘Health Declaration Form’ on every visit. To expedite the process, kindly scan the QR code at main entrance and other designated checkpoints around the clubhouse
  2. Physical distancing of one metre from everyone and no hand contact must be adhered to at all times
  3. Hand sanitisers are available at key areas around the clubhouse
  4. Guests are encouraged to wear a face mask in/around the clubhouse and when interacting with staff. All staff will wear face masks
  5. Practice good personal hygiene and wash hands frequently
  6. Cleaning of all high traffic areas and frequently touched surface will be scheduled regularly
  7. Designated entrance and exit point around the clubhouse, promoting one-way traffic will be enforced

Golf

Pre-Game

  1. Golf course operating hours resumes to 7:00am to 7:00pm with first tee off time allowed at 7:00am with seven (7) minutes tee interval.
  2. Booking MUST be made three (3) days in advanced via WhatsApp /SMS to 6012 3733 431 or email golf@meruvalley.com.my daily, from 12:00noon to 7:00pm.
  3. Walk-in golf bookings are temporary SUSPENDED until further notice.
  4. Only one golfer to register for each flight
  5. Each member can only book for two (2) flights for each day of play.
  6. Maximum of two golfers are allowed in the golf reception office at any time
  7. Buggy sharing is allowed and caddies are available
  8. When making a booking, member must provide their name(s) and membership number and other players who will be playing.
  9. The member who made the booking shall be responsible for the non-appearance of any of the players on his/her flight.
  10. Caddies will practice social distancing, are not allowed to drive the buggy for the golfer during the game and will wear disposal gloves
  11. Online payment, bank transfer, payWave, Boost or signing into account (for members) is recommended
  12. Scorecards and pencils will be given upon request.

On Course

  1. Golfers must reach the tee box five minutes before registered tee off time
  2. Golfers will have no standing and will lose tee off priority if fail to tee-off within stipulated time
  3. To avoid in contact or touching the flagstick and the hole cup, additional local rule* will be implemented on the green as “putter-length given”. This additional local rule is effective from 7 May 2020 for day to-day golf game and not applicable for any golf tournaments until further notice
  4. Golfers should only pick up their respective golf ball; caddie or playing partner are not allowed to do so
  5. All bunker rakes will be removed. All bunkers are treated as Abnormal Course Condition. This additional local rule* is effective from 7 May 2020 for day to-day golf game and not applicable for any golf tournaments until further notice.

After Game

  1. Do not shake hands
  2. Scorecard submission will be completed by email (if needed)
  3. Buggies will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.

*Notice of the additional local rules will be made available at reception/notice board for golfers to refer to.
